“You were right when you said I’ve done all I can — for now. Song and theater won’t defeat Zomoran and his horde, and Carlissa doesn’t need a ‘princess bard.’ It needs a warrior princess.”
She turned to face him. Her eyes were alight with determination.
“Teach me, Grandfather,” she said. “To fight, with steel and magic. You’re the world’s greatest living adventurer. Take me as your student. Help me to become the weapon I will need to be to defeat our enemies.”
I’ve now finished a full playthrough of the soon-to-be-released remake of the Neverwinter Nights module series, Sanctum of the Archmage: The Sight and The Quest. I found a handful of bugs and issues that I still need to resolve, which I’ll need to plan time for over the next few weeks. After one more playthrough to ensure they’re worked out, I should be able to release the remake sometime this summer.
The Sanctum v4.2 update will include a number of new and updated features to The Sight. More importantly, though, it will include a complete remake of the second module in the series, now titled The Quest. Originally released in 2007 as “The Miracle Worker, Act I,” it has never been published in a form compatible with the v4.x remake of The Sight. And it has been unavailable in any form since IGN’s Neverwinter Vault died in 2014.
The second module in the Sanctum series was very well received by the NWN player community of the time, receiving the Bronze Award for Module of the Year and the Golden Dragon Award for Best RPG in 2007. I’m very happy to finally be making the soon to be released (and I think, greatly improved!) version of it available to the Neverwinter Nights player community.
The first “Kindle Countdown Deal” for Sanctum of the Archmage: Dawn of Chaos has been scheduled! It will be available for 25 to 75% off from Thursday, June 28th through Tuesday, July 4th. And Prologue to Chaos will also be a free download from June 28 through July 2nd!
Updates for Sanctum of the Archmage: The Sight and The Quest, v4.2, are complete! I’m now beginning what I hope will be the final playtest before packaging the adventure modules for release. 🙂
Sanctum of the Archmage: Dawn of Chaos is now available on the Amazon Kindle Store!
The Kindle version of Dawn of Chaos has been prepped and is ready to go, along with the updated fourth edition of the prequel, Prologue to Chaos. Both are planned for release next weekend, on or about April 8th, along with several days of free or discounted promotions.
The final edit of Sanctum of the Archmage: Dawn of Chaos is done!
All that remains now is a final proofreading pass, and integrating the final version of the cover (which I’m expecting from Charles any day now). The proofreading will only be for typos (of which I hope not to find any). Producing the Kindle file for upload shouldn’t take more than an hour. Barring any pre-release marketing I may decide to do, there doesn’t seem to be any reason I can’t publish by the end of the month at latest.
Prologue to Chaos – Introduction to the Sanctum of the Archmage saga — will be available to download for free on Sunday, February 12th.
The final edit of Dawn of Chaos — the first full-length novel in the saga — is moving steadily along, currently in chapter five. It’s still on track to be ready for release on Amazon Kindle next month.

This is a near final draft. Aside from some minor touch-ups that Charles is working on now, this is how the final version will look.
I’m devoting February to doing two passes of final editing to get the manuscript ready for publication. If all goes well I should be ready to upload the e-book to the Amazon store in early March.
