{"id":447,"date":"2007-10-31T15:18:48","date_gmt":"2007-10-31T21:18:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/andarian.net\/TheSanctum\/?p=447"},"modified":"2011-12-04T19:08:49","modified_gmt":"2011-12-05T02:08:49","slug":"the-academy-for-modding-excellence","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/andarian.net\/TheSanctum\/?p=447","title":{"rendered":"The Academy for Modding Excellence"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">I&#8217;m very pleased to take this opportunity to tell you about a n<\/span><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">ew project for the Neverwinter Nights community that I&#8217;ve become involved with over the last six months: <a title=\"Academy for Modding Excellence\" href=\"http:\/\/nwvault.ign.com\/reviews\/index.php?board=23.0\" target=\"_blank\">The Academy for Modding Excellence<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\" lang=\"EN-GB\"><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">The Academy for Modding Excellence (or AME) is a voluntary organization dedicated to finding and recognizing the best community built content for the Neverwinter Nights and Neverwinter Nights 2 Computer Role-Playing Games. It was conceived to provide a kind of &#8220;Academy Awards&#8221; for module and custom content development, and will give annual awards &#8212; called the &#8220;Golden Dragon&#8221; &#8212; in <a title=\"Award Categories\" href=\"http:\/\/nwvault.ign.com\/reviews\/index.php?topic=728.0\" target=\"_blank\">a variety of different categories<\/a>. <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\" lang=\"EN-GB\"><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">Members of the Academy are selected for their knowledge and seriousness about NWN &#8220;modding,&#8221; whether as module builders, custom content designers, reviewers, or experienced players. <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\" lang=\"EN-GB\"><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">I was very privileged to have been asked to join this effort early on, and to have been involved in helping to turn this idea into reality.
