Known to you as Len and Robin Blackwing, who took you in after saving you from marauding demons, they had been living in a hidden valley in the foothills of the Nurian mountains. (The modules also allow playing with Robin as a male character, Prince Randall Killraven.) Thanks to the treachery of Duke Del Karrik, Master of Stonegate Keep, their secret has now been revealed to the Warlord.<\/p>\n<p>In Chapter One, your mentor, Len, was slain by\u00a0demonic assassins.\u00a0You and Robin managed to\u00a0escape from them by fleeing into a labyrinth of caverns\u00a0that the Archmage had discovered in\u00a0the\u00a0mountains behind the valley. Running from there to an\u00a0exit near Mount Cassandra, home of the mountain elves of Carlissa, these caverns also contained an ancient ruin that Len had been studying for years.<\/p>\n<p>Joined by\u00a0Orion,\u00a0an agent sent by the\u00a0resistance\u00a0on a desperate mission to\u00a0warn Len and Robin that they were being hunted,\u00a0you tried to make your way back\u00a0to the safety of the mountain elves&#8217; realm.\u00a0But in order to\u00a0do so, you had to travel through the\u00a0ancient ruins.\u00a0And in\u00a0those ruins,\u00a0you learned astonishing secrets not only about the origin\u00a0of the demons, but about\u00a0a cosmic battle between good and evil that has been going on for thousands of years.<\/p>\n<p>Chapter\u00a0Two\u00a0opens with you and your companions finally making your way through the passage to Mount Cassandra.\u00a0The\u00a0resistance is under heavy attack,\u00a0and thanks to intelligence provided by the traitorous Duke Karrik, it is being systematically decimated by Zomoran&#8217;s\u00a0army. And also thanks to the Duke&#8217;s treachery, the Warlord\u00a0now controls\u00a0the strategically important Stonegate Keep, and is moving to extend his empire to include the\u00a0neighboring Kingdom of Rayche.<\/p>\n<p>In the rebellion&#8217;s most\u00a0desperate hour, the\u00a0princess turns to you and your Sight for guidance.\u00a0And together,\u00a0you\u00a0conceive a bold\u00a0plan to defeat the Magus, the only one that your\u00a0talent tells you can succeed: to forge an alliance among the nations of the eastern continent,\u00a0and\u00a0lead them in an apocalyptic war against the Warlord and his demon allies.<\/p>\n<p><em>Sanctum of <\/em><em>the<\/em><em> Archmage 2 &#8211;<\/em> <em>The Quest<\/em> was originally released in September 2007 under the title &#8220;The Miracle Worker: Act I.&#8221; It is the winner of the <a title=\"NWN Vault Module of the Year Awards: 2007\" href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20080413022036\/http:\/\/nwvault.ign.com\/fullstory.php?id=39898\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NWVault 2007 Bronze Award for Module of the Year<\/a>, and the AME <a href=\"https:\/\/ame-gda.andarian.net\/home\/goldendragon\/2006-finalists-2007-cycle\/2007-winners\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Golden Dragon Award for Best NWN Roleplaying Module of 2007<\/a>. It requires, and is built as a &#8220;custom game module&#8221; for,\u00a0the <a href=\"https:\/\/nwn.beamdog.com\/\">Neverwinter Nights<\/a> fantasy role-playing game.<\/p>\n<p>The most recent version of <em>The Quest<\/em> is v5.0, released in June 2018.
